iDynamics Rebates Setup
Rebate Rates
Within the iDynamics Rebates Sales Setup, you will find a section dedicated to direct rebate rates. This section includes options to enable or disable the generation of direct rebate entries from rates, as well as accruals for rates. In addition, there are generic setup fields, such as automatic number series for identifying rates, and other more specific options that are detailed below.
Direct Rebate Settlements
Specify which direct rebate entries can be used to generate or promote rebate entries. While activated, direct rebate entries are generated whenever a sales document is posted, but you can decide whether these entries can be promoted immediately or only after the customer has paid the invoice.
- Posted Invoice: Allows you to select direct rebate entries from invoices that have simply been posted.
- Full payment collected: Allows you to select direct rebate entries from invoices that have been collected.
Calculation Criteria
In cases where two or more rates apply to a sales document, it is necessary to establish a calculation criteria to decide which rate takes priority.
- Highest Rebate: The system will apply the rate that generates the highest rebate (among those applicable to the line). This will automatically generate a direct rebate entry for the rate providing the highest rebate.
- Lowest Rebate: The system will apply the rate that generates the lowest rebate (among those applicable to the line). This will automatically generate a direct rebate entry for the rate providing the lowest rebate.
General Values
In addition to the values in the rebate rates section, there are other fields in the general and accruals sections that affect the definition of direct rebates. The most notable ones are as follows:
- Customer for Rebates: When defining rates for a customer, this field specifies whether we are talking about the sell-to customer or the bill-to customer.
- Accounts for Accruals: When accruals are enabled for rebate rates, it is necessary to fill in all fields involved in creating accruals, such as accounts and the number series.
