Developers - Internal Notes

Functional description

The extension allows defining internal notes linked to customers, vendors and purchase, sales and service documents, so that when a user selects a customer or vendor (sales and invoicing) in any of those documents, these internal notes are displayed.

Implementation

The extension adds a new table IDP Cust./Vend. Internal Note table and its respective IDP Cust./Vend Int. Notes List page to configure the internal notes associated to customers and vendors. The also adds IDPINO Internal Note Card page, where the appearance of comments is configured.

In addition to these objects, pages 21, 22, 26 and 27 (customer and vendor lists and cards) have been modified to include actions for viewing/editing/creating new notes. To enhance the functionality of Business Central's standard comments, the various pages for purchase (49, 50, 51, 52, 509, 6640), sales (41, 42, 43, 44, 507, 6630) and service (5900, 5933, 5935, 5964, 6050, 6053) documents have also been extended.

Finally, the extension has several CodeUnits that are responsible for displaying the corresponding notes when the customer or vendor code is validated (e.g. IDPINO Internal Note Helper is responsible for displaying notifications and alerts from the headers of vendors, customers and services).

Customization

iDynamics Internal Notes has the possibility of extending its features and customization.
