Barcodes
Description
For most customers, the ability to scan barcodes from within the App, to streamline work with the supported documents (e.g. to automatically assign/create serial or batch numbers on receipts), as well as to avoid errors when handling items, is one of the main reasons to install an application such as iDynamics Warehouse.
In this regard, the application is specially designed to work in an agile way by scanning barcodes, either with a built-in scanner in the mobile device, with an external bluetooth scanner, or with the device's own camera.
In this section, we will explain the most efficient way of scanning, either with a barcode scanner, or using the camera. In addition, you will find a document explaining how to configure some of the most common devices/scanners.
If you are going to use the camera, we recommend that you first follow the scanning guide, and then review the camera specific document to see the extra options available to speed up scanning (e.g. multiple scanning).
If you are going to use a hardware scanner, we recommend that you also start with the Barcode Scanning guide, but skip to Hardware Scanners, when you get to the step of testing the scanner, to review the settings for your device.
